Cameron L. Mitchell will present Find Your Voice: A Spoken Word Masterclass. Nashville Repertory Theatre is honored to have Cameron to share his knowledge and passion for spoken word with this class. Awarded the illustrious Poet Laureate of Murfreesboro in 2022, Cameron has established himself as one of Middle TN's talented sons. Born in Memphis, TN, Cameron is an accomplished spoken word artist, actor of stage, television and film, as well as an author, playwright, keynote speaker, model and dancer who is fluent in Japanese.

Cameron wants to share his love of spoken word while continuing to help students to utilize their emotions to create art from a different perspective. He will also help creatives build confidence in creative writing.

With his Masterclass, each student will receive a copy of his book, Breaking the Block: Building a Path to Write the Story. This standard edition is a guide on getting through the mental, emotional and creative blocks, including worksheets and a collection of his poems.

Ready to think fast, take creative risks, and have some fun? Join teaching artist Cameron Muccio for an Adult Improv Masterclass designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of improvisation in a fun, supportive environment.

Through energetic games, exercises, and scene work, participants will explore the core principles of improv, including listening, collaboration, spontaneity, and the power of saying “yes, and.” Whether you're looking to sharpen your performance skills, build confidence, or simply try something new, this class is for you.

No previous improv or performance experience is required. Come ready to play, create, and think on your feet!
