1985 Society
Inspiring the next act of Nashville Repertory Theatre.
Nashville Repertory Theatre was founded in 1985 to create a home for professional theatre in Middle Tennessee, a place where local artists could build careers and audiences could experience exceptional work close to home.
That commitment continues today.
The 1985 Society is Nashville Rep’s leadership annual giving circle, recognizing donors who invest $1,985 or more each year to sustain high-quality, locally produced theatre. These gifts directly support our artists and creative teams, help maintain accessible ticket prices, and strengthen the Rep’s ability to serve audiences across our region.
Members receive invitations to select events and behind-the-scenes experiences, along with recognition that reflects their leadership in supporting Nashville’s premier professional theatre company.
Founding Members
We are launching the 1985 Society in the 2025-2026 season and are honored to recognize those who step forward in this inaugural year.
Anyone who makes a qualifying gift of $1,985 or more between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026 will be recognized in perpetuity as a Founding Member, a distinction for donors who help launch this next chapter of support for the Rep.
Gifts may be made in monthly installments. A total annual committment of $1,985 or more qualifies for 1985 Society membership.
