Sunday, October 4: Literary Discussion with Parnassus Books

Presented in collaboration with Parnassus Books, this talkback dives into the connection between this show and class literature—specifically, its strong tie with and reexamination of The Crucible, a canonical play.

Discussion will be led by special guest Alyson Plasterer from Parnassus Books, Nashville Rep Artistic Director Jessica Francis Fichter, and show director Lauren Shouse.

Thursday, October 8: Artistic Panel with Director Lauren Shouse and actors

An intimate conversation about the artistic process behind bringing John Proctor Is the Villain to the Nashville Rep stage. Director Lauren Shouse and members of the cast will pull back the curtain on rehearsal, character work, and the choices that shaped this production—offering a rare look at how a script becomes a fully realized world.

Moderated by Company Manager Meg Sutherland, this conversation invites audiences to ask questions, share reactions, and go deeper into the creative process with the very artists who brought this story to life.

Sunday, October 11: Clinical & Mental Health Discussion with Onsite

Presented in partnership with OnSite, this community-centered talkback invites local Nashville clinicians to respond to John Proctor Is the Villain from a therapeutic perspective.

Moderated by Nashville Rep Artistic Director Jessica Francis Fichter, the conversation will explore the play's themes directly, with space for audience questions and reflection alongside mental health professionals.
