We respectfully request you observe theatre etiquette prior to and during the performance. By following standard theatre etiquette you will ensure other audience members and you have an enjoyable experience at the theatre.
COMING AND GOING
Please plan to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the show start time. Some delays cannot be predicted, and we do our best to start the play on time, every time. Be aware that for all our shows if you arrive late you will not be admitted until a specific scene change or not admitted at all. This is at the House Manager’s discretion.
LEAVING DURING A PERFORMANCE
Please do not leave your seat and plan to re-enter the auditorium during the performance. You may not be allowed back in. If you must exit, please do so quietly; a television is available to view the performance in the lobby.
MOBILE PHONES, PAGERS, AND OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Please ensure these are turned off. If they make noise during a performance, it may be very embarrassing for you and distracting to cast and audience members. Please be aware that it is inappropriate to text message during any live performance, or use your device with a lit screen at any time. You may be asked to leave the performance.
We allow drinks inside Johnson Theater without ice because ice causes noise and potential distraction to cast and audience members. We ask that you please refrain from eating during a performance as the crinkling and chewing may cause a distraction. Refreshments are available prior to the performance and during intermission for consumption in the lobby.
Please show consideration for everyone in the auditorium and refrain from talking during the performance. We encourage chatting and discussion during intermission and after the show.
RUNNING LATE TO A PERFORMANCE?
If you are too late to be seated and would like to exchange your ticket for a different show, the TPAC Box Office on Level G is available until the end of intermission. Fees and other charges may apply.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO RECORDING
Taking photographs and video during a performance is not permitted, even without flash. We encourage photography when house lights are on prior to or after a performance when actors are not present.
