Nashville Repertory Theatre is currently seeking a Marketing + Development Intern for its 2018-19 season. The primary focus of this internship is to work closely with the Marketing Director on the execution of the season’s marketing initiatives in a highly competitive arts community and assist the Development Director with events and fundraising throughout the season. Candidates must be highly organized and able to multi-task with excellent computer and writing skills. Jobs in this department will be supervised by the Marketing Director and the Development Director.

 

DEVELOPMENT DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

•Assist with planning, promotion, and staffing of education/outreach activities and promotional events.
•Coordinate solicitation, receiving, and documentation of items for Silent Auctions.
•Build relationships with donors and aid in preparation for board of directors meetings.
•Provide support for corporate and foundation grant proposals.
•Prepare and assemble direct mailings.

MARKETING DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

•Assist in maintaining Nashville Rep’s social media sites
•Observe rehearsals and meetings with the artistic staff to develop ideas for effectively marketing productions on a modest budget.
•Collect and archive press materials.
•Work closely with staff to develop new audiences.
•Maintain and create promotional relationships with other non-profit organizations, colleges and universities, target audiences, restaurants, and media outlets.
•Assist with press contacts, photo calls, and video shoots.
•Copywriting
•Coordinate press mailings, provide input on press releases, and calendar announcements.
•Other clerical and general duties as needed.

**Professional Interns work an average of 30 hours a week, not including tech week or special events where additional hours may be required.**
