Nashville Rep's Cabaret Review Trailer
Nashville Reviews Nashville Repertory Theatre's Production of Cabaret.
Tennessee Rep's production of Cabaret is a hit in Nashville! Reviews from local media outlets and social media are pouring in. Critics rave about Jenny Littleton's return to Tennessee Rep and her original take on the character of "Sally Bowles". Evans Donnell of ArtsNash writes,
Jenny Littleton's delivery of the title song in Act II ("Life is a Cabaret") that I will remember as long as I can recall anything I’ve ever seen in a theater. I thought I’d never see a better take on that number, or on the character of Sally, than Natasha Richardson’s Tony Award-winning portrayal; at Saturday’s opening show I did. Thank you Ms. Littleton.
David Compton's fresh take on the character of "The Emcee" doesn't go unnoticed! Theatre Critic Martin Brady of the Nashville Scene says,
For a guy who hasn't done a musical in about 20 years, David Compton's Emcee is a wonder — lean, mean and engagingly satirical. His work, including the singing, is subtly edgy, and he turns in a bravura portrayal.
Amy Stumpfl of The Tennessean raves about the powerful cast that illuminates Nashville Rep's production of Cabaret! Judith Yates of the Nashville Examiner would agree,
You'll applaud until your palms ache... Nashville Rep's Producing Artistic Director René D. Copeland does justice to this multiple Tony Award winning musical. Nashville should consider itself lucky to have her in the performing arts world of Music City.
